Mission
The aim of Incontri in Terra di Siena is to spread the appreciation of music, literature, and art through concerts, exhibitions, meetings, discourse, and other cultural events that are held on the La Foce estate and in the many beautiful neighbouring towns of the Val d’Orcia.
American Friends of Incontri in Terra di Siena’s principal mission is to locate, encourage, and obtain financial support for this unique festival, assisting to maintain its high standards of excellence for all its programs.
Vision
Incontri in Terra di Siena is a crossroads for friends and kindred spirits to unite and experience the performances of masterworks of chamber music and other music genres in a peaceful setting of natural beauty. An additional aim is to enrich this principal endeavor with Oltre La Musica – Beyond Music events. These initiatives celebrate the land, the legacy that comes with it, and the interests of our bigger Incontri family.
At Incontri, music, art, and literature are the meeting ground for the awareness of many issues, such as the understanding and collaboration between peoples, the cultural interaction between America and Europe, and the importance of Arts education for the young.
